Jehovah Elkannah, You are a jealous God. You are not jealous of us, but for us. You go out for the salvation of Your people. You remind us again and again to be holy because You are holy. You tell us in various ways to remember that You are our God, there is no other. The silent idols, the striving for wealth and notoriety can’t supplant You. You are the One True God. We lift our eyes and hands in praise in the name and authority of Jesus, according to Your good and perfect will. Amen.
“Speak to the children of Israel: Tell them to make tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a blue thread in the tassels of the corners. And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of the LORD and do them, and that you may not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined, and that you may remember and do all My commandments, and be holy for your God. Joy S. Taylor is a follower of Christ, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her workdays were spent using the Master of Science in Accounting degree that God graciously allowed at the age of, well, greater than 40. She led a divorce recovery support group sponsored by her church for seven years, and spent more than a decade in leadership roles for Celebrate Recovery, using what God had done in her life to point others to the healing only Jesus gives.
