El Gibor, You are the Great and Mighty One (Is 9:6). There is no other god like You. You hold us within Your powerful grip. You seal us with Your Holy Spirit. You go out for the salvation of Your beloved. You thwart the schemes of our adversaries. We prosper beneath the shadow of Your wings. We owe our reverence and allegiance only to You. We stand to worship You in the name and authority of Jesus, the subject of Is 9:6, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.
“Therefore I positioned men behind the lower parts of the wall, at the openings; and I set the people according to their families, with their swords, their spears, and their bows. And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, ‘Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.’ And it happened, when our enemies heard that it was known to us, and that God had brought their plot to nothing, that all of us returned to the wall, everyone to his work.” (Nehemiah 4: 13-15 NKJV)
