Prayer for Today

As with the Israelites, Father, we rely solely upon Your provision. All we gain is from You. All we have belongs to You. We love You. We trust You. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. We praise You for what You have done, are doing and will do on our behalf, in the name and authority of Jesus, according to Your good and perfect will. Amen.

“And the Egyptians urged the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste. For they said, ‘We shall all be dead.’ So the people took their dough before it was leavened, having their kneading bowls bound up in their clothes on their shoulders. A mixed multitude went up with them also, and flocks and herds—a great deal of livestock. And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they had brought out of Egypt; for it was not leavened, because they were driven out of Egypt and could not wait, nor had they prepared provisions for themselves.” (Exodus 12: 34, 38-39 NKJV)

Her workdays were spent using the Master of Science in Accounting degree that God graciously allowed at the age of, well, greater than 40. She led a divorce recovery support group sponsored by her church for seven years, and spent more than a decade in leadership roles for Celebrate Recovery and Care Net, using what God had done in her life to point others to the healing only Jesus gives. Now retired, she concentrates on writing for Jesus from her beloved hickory grove in Indiana, yet devotes some of her time to volunteering.
