Almighty God, you called us for one purpose, to glorify your holy name. Let us make that purpose our first priority for the sake of your name. Ezekiel prophesied that the nations would know that you are the LORD when you gather your people and cleanse them from idolatry, even though they profane your name. You went out for our salvation while we were still sinners. Remind us of the higher calling to which we ascribe. Bring us back to the joy of your salvation. Set our minds on the glory of what you have in store for us. May we put nothing ahead of giving our account of the greatness of your name and the goodness of your works. I pray in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“And I will vindicate the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. And the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Lord God, when through you I vindicate my holiness before their eyes.” (Ezekiel 36:23 ESV)
