Heavenly Father, I come to your mercy seat to pray for those who are on vacation, and those who will be vacationing over the summer months. You go with every one of your believers. It they go to the farthest shores, you are there. Where can they go where your Spirit is not, because you live and breathe within them. Holy Spirit, wherever they go, you go along to protect them every step, to enlighten with every new experience, to uplift with every prayer on their behalf, and to lead with every choice they make. What better traveling companion could there be? None but you is so gracious. See to those who are yet to accept and follow Jesus. Point them to him with each new sight. Whisper of God’s love in the quiet, restful moments. Shout of his salvation in the din of traffic and throngs of crowded streets. May we all seek refuge in you, Father. I ask in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“Where shall I go from your Spirit?

Or where shall I flee from your presence?

If I ascend to heaven, you are there!

If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!

If I take the wings of the morning

and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,

even there your hand shall lead me,

and your right hand shall hold me.” (Psalm 139: 7-10 ESV)
