Lord, there is no ‘good-bye’ with you. There is only forever ‘hello.’ My relationship with you is the only thing I take from this earth into heaven. It is the most valuable thing I possess. It is the most lasting thing I possess. It is the most fulfilling, the most positive and the most hopeful. Each time I say ‘good-bye’ to friends and family, there’s no telling if I will see them again in this life. The hug I give may be the last we share here on earth. But God…But you, Father God, make it possible for my brothers and sisters in Christ to hold onto the expectation of a forever hug and ‘hello’ when we meet again to walk side-by-side along the Chrystal Sea. May I never forget to hug those here while I can. May I always look to your eternal hope. May that give me encouragement and strength to carry on my work here to honor and glorify you. I thank you in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” (2 Corinthians 1: 3-4 ESV)
