Holy Spirit, arise within me, and let me grasp the full meaning of Jesus’ words just before his ascension. Paul wrote of this mystery in Ephesians as the mighty working power that raised Christ from death. More of this and less of me, that’s my desire, Father. Don’t let me misuse it. Don’t let me suppress it. Don’t let me default into weakness. Show me how to operate from a position of strength and through the meekness of the Lamb to be your witness wherever I am. Everywhere I go, there you are, in me, working through me, and that is a mystery to me. You are worthy of all praise, glory and honor. I pray in the name and authority of Jesus, who broke the grip of sin and defeated death, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1: 8 ESV)
