Gracious and loving God, creator of all things, you are the guard and guide of my soul. I’m thinking heaven-bound today. Not that I’m ready to leave this earth today, just looking with anticipation to being with Christ. Father, you set up a win-win situation for believers. As Paul said, “To live is Christ, to die is gain.” I can’t think of a better way to voice that precept. Help me to live in the Spirit. Forgive me when I step off the path to you. Thank you for gently getting me back on track when I do. I pray in the name and authority of Jesus, who died so I could live, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
