Father, provide care for your servants. Take them aside to abide in your love and peace. Renew their spirits and heal their bodies from the wear and tear of service to your kingdom. Bring others to them skilled in restoring brokenness and relaxing tensions. Build up your workers. Equip them afresh. Heal them with your intimate touch. Fill their hearts to overflowing once again. Give them your power, Lord, as you did your disciples before your ascension, with fresh wind and fresh fire to spread your gospel. Fan their flickering faith into flame again. Feed the crowd of your witnesses with your Holy Word like your miracles by the Sea of Galilee. I pray for your messengers in the name and authority of Jesus, who wrote the gospel story in his blood, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“The apostles returned to Jesus and told him all that they had done and taught. 31 And he said to them, ‘Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.’ For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat.” (Mark 6: 30-31 ESV)
