God of heaven and earth, you are creator of all, owner of all, in all and above all. Everyone experiences final days: final days of school, final days of kids in the house, final days of working, final days of driving, final days of breathing, final days of life. Your word speaks about the last days. Let us ponder carefully our last days, because they come, undaunted and unstoppable. How will we stand before you in the last days, Father? Will we be known by Jesus? Will we be clothed in white and invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb? May we be ready! Holy Spirit, reach those who don’t know Jesus. Point them to salvation even as they approach the last moments of their final days. May they desire to know the Truth as each breath comes closer to being the last. May they seek the name above all names, Jesus, in whose name I pray, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.
“And he said, ‘Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.’” (Luke 23:42 ESV)
