Oh, Jesus, through your death and resurrection, you purged me with hyssop and made me whiter than snow. You took the sins that left me broken. There is no understanding the sweet relief of forgiveness without the realization of your suffering which paid its toll. I recognize it is not I who actively saved, but you passively gave to buy my pardon. Restore me to the joy of your salvation and the wisdom of how your were glorified in the process. Humble my thoughts, implant your truth in my secret heart. Find me faithful. I praise you for the process in your name above all names and in its authority, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.

“Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being,
and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and uphold me with a willing spirit.” (Psalm 51: 6,12 ESV)
