Holy God, when Jesus returns, will he find us faithful? Will he see that we persist through trials? Will he notice that we continue in prayer in the darkest hours? Will he hear our thanksgiving even though we struggle? Father, give us persistence and power to pray. Remind us to give thanks in all circumstances. Let our voice be heard without ceasing. May we praise you even before we see you move. I pray in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Be glorified in the outcome. Amen.
“And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?” (Luke 18: 7-8 ESV)
