Holy God, I pray your will be done. As Jesus said in the garden under great stress, “Father, not as I will, but as you will.” Not our will, but your perfectly loving, perfectly just, perfectly applied will be done in our homes, our cities, our states and countries. I ask in the name and authority of Jesus, who prayed it first, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.

“And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, ‘My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.’”
(Matthew 26:39 ESV)
