Father, in the darkness of the night, may we see your shining light. In the dead of winter’s pit, may we feel your unrelenting grip. In the haunting of our past, may we know a joy that lasts. In recognition of our sin, may we come to know your Son. I praise you for your promises. I praise you for your blessing. I praise you in the name and authority of Jesus, the Christ, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.”
(Hebrews 6: 19-20 ESV)
