El Olam, everlasting God, you are El Elyon, God Most High. You carefully crafted your redemption plan, the incarnation of the Word to walk on earth, teaching, healing, dying for our sin and resurrecting for your glory. What a beautiful story that touched my heart and brought me into your household as I believed and confessed. Father, we sell your message short when we stop at verse 13, for your glory witnessed on earth fleshes out the meaning for me. I think about all the eyewitnesses, the apostles and the women who traveled with Jesus, the healed, the fishermen and the crowds. I think about those who saw the ascension, those who were first to be baptized with the Holy Spirit. I pray for us who have not seen, but believe. I pray for those who have not seen and are yet to believe. You pulled the scales off the two on the road to Emmaus. Do it again, Father. Send your revival to our homes and our communities. Increase the numbers of believers like you did for the apostles. Be glorified in the outcome, Father. I ask in the precious name and powerful authority of Jesus, the Word, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14 ESV)
