Father God, I bow to your will, though my heart is heavy in my current circumstance. I acquiesce to your timing, though I want the results I seek as soon as yesterday. I grieve the downturn I expected, but didn’t desire. Yet, I pray for your miracle to change the final outcome. For the tasks you have ahead for me, give me strength. For the planning of their execution, give me wisdom and discernment. For the interim, grant me faith in your goodness and promises that overpowers disappointment and discouragement. Be glorified in the outcome. Take my hand, Lord. Lead me on. I ask your grace and mercy in the name and authority of Jesus, who prayed similarly at Gethsemane, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16: 33 ESV)
