Father God, you hear our prayers of longing. You hear our prayers of grief. You hear our prayers for our children. You hear our prayers for peace. You hear our prayers for the salvation of loved ones. You answer them according to your merciful will. Conform our hearts and morph our prayers to be your will over each of those for which we pray, for you go out for the salvation of your anointed. You work constantly for the greater good and for your glory. You shut one door to open another. You deny one request to provide a greater blessing. Show us your answer, Father. Show us your grace. Be glorified in the outcome of all our entreaties. I pray in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“So we fasted and implored our God for this, and he listened to our entreaty.” (Ezra 8:23 ESV)
