Father, you are ageless. I am not. I didn’t give a care for time going by, though my mother warned me that every minute that passes is one I cannot recapture. It is funny how gray hair changes that perspective, Lord. No, it isn’t funny. It is hard to look back and see wasted opportunities to learn more of you, to share more of your love with others. Father, help me reclaim the days the locusts have eaten. Help me treasure the time I have left. There is so little of it. Day upon day flies by. Time is ticking me into history. Lord, help me leave a legacy for my loved ones, for my Savior, for you, God. I ask in the name of Jesus, who freed me for all eternity, and according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.” (Psalm 90:12 ESV)
