Yahweh, Elohim, Great and Gracious one, there is none like you who establishes your word and keeps your covenant. You promised the coming Messiah in Isaiah 53, and you turn to repeat your covenant of peace in Isaiah 54. What a blessing to read them again this morning. These are your promises to the afflicted and storm-tossed, that their children will be taught by the LORD, that they will be established in righteousness, that they don’t need to fear, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper and that your covenant of peace will not be removed. Oh, Father, renew our hearts and strengthen our resolve with these reminders. May we move forward in our daily walk with a bolder step and a brighter outlook because of them and the power of your covenant that under-girds them. I pray in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“…no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.” (Isaiah 54:17 ESV)
