Father, today I pray for all those on the street, in churches, in homes, in schools and especially in governmental offices who voice your word and walk in your truth. I pray for their safety. I pray for your holy boldness to overtake and sustain them. I pray for their continued right to exercise free speech in the US. I pray for those who are willing to stand for you in the face of persecution. “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1 ESV) Thank you for those willing to face the angry argument for the sake of your Gospel. Thank you for their ability to calmly and firmly speak your will with love and respect. Increase their territory. Add to their number until their voices ring out above the din with your piercing truth. Let us stand and make a joyful noise akin to the roar of many waters and the sound of loud thunder of the multitude in the book of Revelation. Let us stand, and when we are done standing, stand some more. I pray in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
