Father, forgive us, for we sin. We are a rebellious house. We fall short of your glory, every one of us. We need you, Jesus. We need your miraculous healing power to sweep over us. We need healing from disease and famine. We need healing from racism and political strife. We need you. Only you can bridge the gaps between our factions. Only you can call us out of darkness and into your marvelous light. Only you can bind up the terrible wounds we inflict upon each other. Only you can meld our hearts together in loving brother- and sisterhood. Only the powerful name of Jesus unites us in truth and righteousness forever. Show us your glory. Show us your mighty healing hand. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. I cry out in the name above all names, Jesus, according to your holy and perfect will, Father. Amen.

“The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.” (Revelation 22:17 ESV)
