Lord, I know you watched me struggle this morning. Your heart sank a little to see fear and doubt take hold. I wrestled with images of dying nations, that perhaps my own is one of them, warships and enemy threats, financial stresses and lack of food supplies world wide. Powerful visions of a time I am not enjoying to pass through, Lord. Forgive me for my lapse into a dark spot, Jesus. Thank you for taking hold and reminding me of the prayers I’ve lifted, of the armor upon me through our covenant relationship. Fear and doubt fled when I began to pray and praise. You are me refuge. You are my Prince of Peace. You hold nations and universes together by the power of your word. Thank you for lifting me by your precious and powerful name, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.

“O my Strength, I will sing praises to you, for you, O God, are my fortress, the God who shows me steadfast love.” (Psalm 59:17 ESV)
