Lord, my eyes are swollen and sore from the tears during my prayer times. My heart breaks for what breaks yours. My body is exhausted, and I’m emotionally drained from fervent prayer. Even so, thank you for the gift and responsibility to pray. Thank you for the hope that sustains through prayer. Thank you for the super-natural strength that comes while I pray. Thank you for allowing me to stand in the righteousness of Christ as I present my petitions before your throne. Thank you that you listen. Thank you that I see answered prayer. Thank you for your grace and mercy in the name and authority of Jesus, who taught us how to pray, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.” (Romans 12:11 ESV)
