Lord, I find it ironic that you stood before Pilate, who asked, “What is truth?” You, who are the way, the truth and the life, stood before him, and still, he asked. Sometimes I am blind to the truth right in front of my face. Open my eyes to your truth. Open my heart and soul to life. Remove the scales from the eyes of all who don’t know you. Let them see truth standing before them. Holy Spirit, prompt us all to seek truth and love truth. Father your transcendent moral law sets the standard for right and wrong, truth and untruth, absolutely. Pour out your truth. Smack us out of our relativism to come to a saving knowledge of you. I ask these things in the name and authority of Jesus, who died on the cross, according to the Father’s good and perfect will. Amen.

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6 ESV)
