Almighty Sabaoth, you are over the hosts of heaven and of earth. Your power and might cannot be surpassed. Who would seek to thwart your purposes? You, who set the sun ablaze, desires my heart to be his. You, whose voice causes the mountains to quake, has called me to his new covenant. As I seek to know you more, Father, my flesh falters. I awoke with a sense of trepidation, questioning my way forward in this time of threat and upheaval. Thank you for your strong reminder that I live under the blood of Jesus, King of kings and Lord of lords. It is he who fought the battle against pride and evil. It is by his power and might and not my own that I live and move and breathe. It is he who wears the victor’s crown. It is he who ends this mayhem by the breath of his mouth. Praise his name above all names, Jesus the Christ, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“I know you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.” (Job 41:2 ESV)
