Abba, Father, your presence remains with me. Your Holy Spirit abides with me, unfailingly. The days of this isolation due to a rogue virus presented times of barrenness as that of a desert island where I was unseen and unheard. Without your Holy Spirit in me, I doubt I could have kept my sanity. I delight in you. I trust in you. I apply Psalm 37 to the current unrest and uncertainty. You promise through David’s writing that in a short time the wicked will be no more. They draw their swords and bend their bows, but the swords will enter their own hearts and their bows will be broken. At your hand, you will bring this to pass, as you have before. We will see a mighty work of your power and righteousness. I praise you in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4 ESV)
