Oh, LORD, open our eyes that we may see your mighty works. Grant us a glimpse of you, even the tail of your glory. May we focus only on you and the salvation of Jesus. May we be able to navigate the tempest of events swirling around us daily, threatening our well-being and sanity. Ease our minds, as you did the apostles in the boat tossed on the Sea of Galilee. May we see your legions of angels at work around us, as you showed Elisha. Help our unbelief. Steady the weakness in our knees. Prepare our hearts, minds and souls to stand firm through it all. I ask in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“Then Elisha prayed and said, ‘O LORD, please open his eyes that he may see.’ So the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.” (2 Kings 6:17 ESV)
