Jehovah Hashopet, you are the LORD our judge. You are the God who loves justice and truth; but justice is turned back and righteousness is far away. Truth stumbles in our public squares and uprightness cannot enter. Have we transgressed too far, Father, past the point of your anger, as it was with Judah? Are the sins so great you will not pardon? May it not be so. Hear the cries of your children to grant awakening and give the spirit of revelation and knowledge of who you are. We plead forgiveness in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“Surely this came upon Judah at the command of the Lord, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done, and also for the innocent blood that he had shed. For he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and the Lord would not pardon.” (2 Kings 24:3 ESV)
