Almighty and Everlasting God, you are holy. You are all powerful, all knowing and all seeing. You are in full control, though the world seems like it’s been turned upside down and shaken so what was hidden in the dark fell out. Upright us with your righteousness. Remind us that you are the uncaused cause and the author of the transcendent moral code. Remove the heart of stone in those who riot to create chaos, and replace it with a heart of flesh that seeks to know you more. I ask these things in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in my statutes and keep my rules and obey them.” (Ezekiel 11:19-20a ESV)
