Oh, Lord, how terrifying are our times. Fires and anarchy threaten on all sides. But you, our God, are a shield about us, our glory and the lifter of our heads. We lie down in your perfect peace to sleep; and we rise to praise you yet another day. We stand on your promise that salvation belongs to you. Your blessing is upon us. I thank you for your daily mercy in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
