Lord, have you forgotten us? Do you turn your face away from us in our iniquity? Forgive us, for we sin against you. Your face remains consistently upon us; we are the ones who have moved away from you. We trample truth in the streets. We forget our legacy as beings created in your image. May we repent, and turn, not half-way, but fully return to your precepts. Consider us, Father. Lift up our eyes to your goodness, lest the enemy prevail over us. Return us to trust in your steadfast love and rejoice in your salvation. We seek your face in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“But I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, because he has dealt bountifully with me.” (Psalm 13:5-6 ESV)
