So, we come to the last of the relationship questions. I hope you have enjoyed looking into these with me. Watch for the entire original list to be posted in PDF format on the Joyinverse.com website for your reference.

It took the first agonizing pain of divorce and all the healing God put through me to get to the point of being able to help others from the comfort with which He uplifted me. I pray something in the project brings you knowledge, understanding, peace, and healing. I did not take this project lightly, though I used a lighthearted approach. Thank you for all the loving support you offer.

From the book:

“Let’s get to the nitty-gritty personality aspects that creep up to bite you when you least expect it. these trip-ups take time to show up in someone else’s mannerisms. That is why wise relationship builders take their time and get to know every detail they can before plunging headlong into the unknown, murky water where frogs hang out and croak flattery to entice. You may be able to spot these behaviors in the friends of friends, but can you be frank enough to see them in your love interest? Don’t let the veil of romantic involvement dim your vision and keep you from noticing these aspects before it becomes impossible to unravel their entrapment.

• Does this person try control your choices?
• Does this person try to control your schedule?
• Does this person allow you to be yourself?
• Does this person isolate you from family and friends?
• Does this person ridicule you?
• Does this person exhibit jealousy?
• Does this person become angry when you feel bad, are
frustrated, or ill?
• Does this person become angry when you say ‘no?'”

Joy S. Taylor is a follower of Christ, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her workdays were spent using the Master of Science in Accounting degree that God graciously allowed at the age of, well, greater than 40. She led a divorce recovery support group sponsored by her church for seven years, and spent more than a decade in leadership roles for Celebrate Recovery, using what God had done in her life to point others to the healing only Jesus gives. Now retired, she concentrates on writing for Jesus from her beloved hickory grove in Indiana, yet devotes some of her time to volunteering.
