I’ve heard from several former FCCF members who were stunned and hurt by the events of 2014-2016. This quote from the book pretty well sums it up. Feel free to comment if you relate. Some of those who left the church never went back to church. Some went through years of counseling and still struggle. I pray for my brothers and sisters, and I pray that my account of the events can put order and meaning to their healing process.

“The church split that shot through the FCCF congregation caused seismic cracks in the hearts of the brothers and sisters. There is no easy way to say, ‘I love you, but I wholeheartedly disagree with you. I can no longer sit under the teaching of this pastor.’ Pulling away from a church family is like a divorce in that it leaves heartstrings dangling in the void.” (Taylor, Joy S., A View from the Pews – The Inside Story of a Broken Church, 2022, Lily of the Valley Publishing, Santa Claus IN, p. 143.)
