What would you expect a predator to be like? They don’t wear a name tag or a label exposing their intentions. They work hard to ingratiate themselves and build circles of influence. They make targets of people they can manipulate to favor them. They morph their personalities to gain access to those on whom they prey. They work at building scenarios in which they can easily operate toward their goal of separation and seduction. Brandon worked with the youth groups at FCCF. He set up a non-profit with the aim of building a skate park where teens could hang out and talk about Jesus. He made himself available for youth mission trips where he could get even closer contact to the object of his intention. He used his talents to create an aura of celebrity about himself as a member of the worship team. The trap was set.

“He arrived with his striking blue eyes, short blonde hair, and pierced ears, bringing amazing musical and graphic arts talents. He captivated the teens, who swarmed around him as he entered the sanctuary for services. He wooed the congregation from the stage with his vocals and keyboard skills, wearing his bandana, skullcap, or ball cap.” (Taylor, Joy S., A View from the Pews — The Inside Story of a Broken Church, 2022, Lily of the Valley Publishing, Santa Claus IN, p. 54.)
