Drops of Joy – A Devotional Journey of Healing — Update 4
I struggled with codependency and the effects of dysfunctional relationships, until Jesus showed me who I am and Whose I am. Do you know this Jesus? He is the author and perfecter of our faith. You can lean into and trust what He says about you.
From the book:
“Babylon is where Israel was taken captive for seven decades. Babylon, where Daniel fasted and prayed, and was thrown into the lion’s den for his faith. Babylon is anywhere, physical, emotional, or spiritual, in which you find yourself held captive. For me, it was being captive to my codependency. Interesting, and not funny, how insecurity and need for attention and affirmation caused me to make bad decisions and enter unhealthy relationships from which I could not extract myself. Amazingly, God showed me His glory to bring me out of the darkness I created into a freedom to be myself, because how He made me is good enough.” (Taylor, Joy S., Drops of Joy – A Devotional Journey of Healing, 2026, Lily of the Valley Publishing Services, Indiana, p.6.)
Come and join me on this journey of God’s healing. May a piece of my past lead you to a better future through God’s intervention.

Joy S. Taylor is a follower of Christ, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her workdays were spent using the Master of Science in Accounting degree that God graciously allowed at the age of, well, greater than 40. She led a divorce recovery support group sponsored by her church for seven years, and spent more than a decade in leadership roles for Celebrate Recovery, using what God had done in her life to point others to the healing only Jesus gives. Now retired, she concentrates on writing for Jesus from her beloved hickory grove in Indiana, yet devotes some of her time to volunteering.
