Today is a beautiful day, because Joshua sensed his time for leading God’s people coming to an end; and he made the proclamation at Shechem, “…choose this day whom you will serve…But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Then he renewed God’s covenant with the people and left them with statutes and rules to live by.
