Father God, you are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. I am grateful for the writings of all the eyewitnesses to your presence, grace, justice and compassion. I would not know you as I do without their accounts of your mighty works in their lives. They write of what they experienced. They tell of your holiness. They expound on your attributes. They recount the new life that comes in answering your calling to your excellence, glory and grace. Thank you for allowing us a glimpse of your robe that fills the temple through their words. I lift my prayer in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.” (2 Peter 1: 3-4 ESV)
