Father, your Word is eternal and ever true. Thank you for the tools of discernment it gives me in troubled times and in happy times. Holy Spirit, please keep me mindful of testing according to the Word that I not fall into the trap of lies and propaganda. Focus my thoughts, give me pause to ponder them in light of Scripture. I ask humbly in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God.
