My Jesus, You celebrate with me at the pinnacle of joy. In the depth of depression, You take my hand to pull me free. When I bump against the circled hedge of protection that is Your will, the thorns make me rebound toward you and not away. You light my path. You bring the joy of Your salvation. You allow me to rest between your powerful shoulders. You remind me of my purpose for Your good pleasure. You lighten my load by Your mercy, in your name above all names, according to the Father’s perfect will. Amen.
“With the merciful you show yourself merciful; with the blameless man you show yourself blameless; with the purified you show yourself pure; and with the crooked you make yourself seem tortuous. For you save a humble people, but the haughty eyes you bring down. For it is you who light my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness.” (Psalm 18: 25-28 ESV)
