O God, who can stand before your judgment? Who can endure your wrath? Let the nations revere your might and power, justice and judgment. I pray for repentance, for a turning away from sin toward You. I pray for many sons and daughters to come to a saving knowledge of you. I pray for all to submit their cause to You. I pray for a mighty move of your Holy Spirit that ignites the flame of belief. Forgive us, Father, for we fall short of your glory and holiness. Forgive our tuning away. Forgive our arrogance in thinking our way is better than committing to the reign of Jesus in our lives. Show us the joy of your salvation, Father. Be glorified in the outcome in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
“But you, you are to be feared! Who can stand before you when once your anger is roused? From the heavens you uttered judgment; the earth feared and was still, when God arose to establish judgment, to save all the humble of the earth.” (Psalm 76: 7-9 ESV)
