Lord, Matt Redman’s lyrics are a consoling anthem these days. “When the darkness closes in, Lord, still I will say, ‘Blessed be the name of the Lord.'” They point me to You. They guide me to go to Scripture to find refuge and encouragement. They remind me to take courage from Psalm 91 and Psalm 23. My sheltered life shrinks in the shadow of the trials others are facing now. You are their refuge and shelter. You are their hope and security. You are Savior, Redeemer and Friend. I bless your name above all others, Jesus, in your authority greater than any other, according to the Father’s perfect will. Amen.

“Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!” (Psalm 105:4 ESV)
