Father, the vision of your throne, like Ezekiel’s as he sat with other exiles along the Chebar canal and the heaven’s opened, looms foremost in my thoughts this morning. It’s a fearsome picture, fearsome, as in deep reverence for who you are. I know I am covered in the righteous garments of Christ and wear them to stand before you on the day of judgement. I will be among those whose knees bend before a holy and powerful God. My tongue confesses now, and will at that time, that Jesus Christ is Lord. I pray the gravity of this vision and the weight of the decision to confess Christ as God’s only Son touches the hearts of those who don’t know him. Holy Spirit, whisper to the lost. Jesus, make yourself known to them. Father, draw them to your side. Bring the awesome and complete joy of knowing your salvation into their lives. Redeem them in Christ. I ask in the name and authority of Jesus, who is above all, according to your good and perfect will. Amen

“Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2: 9-11 ESV)
