Father, You delight in giving mercy. You are the God of grace. You are the God of all comfort. You are El Roi, the God who sees us. You called me by name to come out of the darkness and into your marvelous light to experience your mercy, grace and comfort. You give them freely. I need only to receive. I come to your mercy seat to thank You for the blessings of your attributes. Help me comfort others with the comfort You show me. Help me be gracious and cheerful in showing mercy. I don’t have adequate words to thank You for the difference You make in my everyday walk. You are worthy of my adoration in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.” (Romans 12:6-8 ESV)
