Lord Jesus, hated, despised by men and nations, crucified for your perfection, buried in a borrowed tomb, and arisen to your appointed throne. You paid our ransom to free us from sin and death. You rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. You return as King of Kings and Lord of lords. That day draws nearer with each tick of the clock. One day, our faith will become our eyes, for we will meet face-to-face. You have called me by my name to be among your faithful. You are worthy of my dedication, praise and love. I bring my exaltation in your name and authority, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.
“Thus says the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel and his Holy One, to one deeply despised, abhorred by the nation, the servant of rulers: ‘Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall prostrate themselves; because of the LORD, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.’” (Isaiah 49: 7 ESV)
