Lord, please remind me of the words in Zechariah’s vision, as Zerubbabel faced the monumental task of rebuilding the temple. The achievements I seek will not come by my might. I have no great army to back me up. They will not come by my power. My brain and schedule are already on overload. They will surely come by my working within your will and by your Spirit. I ask You what task do I choose today that is in your will and by your Spirit? I bring my request in your name that is above all, in your authority that is greater than any other, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.
“Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, ‘Do you not know what these are?’ And I said, ‘No, my lord.’ So he answered and said to me: ‘This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” Says the LORD of hosts. “Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!”‘” (Zechariah 4: 5-7)
