Father, it is a privilege to study your Word. Thank You for preserving and protecting it. This verse hit me like a 2×4 as I looked for passages on your grace. “they will look on Me whom they pierced” tells me the pierced One the mourners look at is You, I AM, the One true God. I see references to the Holy Spirit, the Father and Jesus, the only Son, packed into one sentence of Scripture. Just as Jesus said He and the Father are one, so You confirm that You and the Messiah are one centuries before Jesus was born. I bow in silence with the impact to let You speak to my heart. Father, open the hearts of others who don’t know You so they can understand the power and purity of your love for them. I bring my praise as an offering in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.” (Zechariah 12:10 NKJV)
