Almighty God, you are the author of adoption and redemption. I once was lost in a pit of my own making, yet you called me to come out of the pit and into your marvelous light. I am of your household, living in the victory Christ affords. I am God’s kid! I pray others will boldly call you “Father,” recognizing the place you have for them.
God’s Kid
A child of God am I
By decree from on high
No condemnation
For God’s relation
A child of God am I
I am a sister of the King
No wonder that I sing
He paid my price
With His sacrifice
I’m a sister to the King
I’m a member of royalty
My value set by Christ on the tree
Yes, set forever
Devalued never
I’m a member of royalty
A valued one am I
Not hearing Satan’s lie
I’ve found my place
Within God’s grace
I know that here am I
Gracious Father, may others join me in knowing the joy of your family. I pray in the name and authority of Jesus, who called you ‘Abba,’ according to your good and perfect will. Amen.
And he said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.” (Mark 14:36 ESV)
“then I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.” (2 Corinthians 6: 18)
“And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” (Galatians 4:6 ESV)
“For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, ‘Abba! Father!’” (Romans 8:15 ESV)
“But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.” (Jude 20-21 ESV)
