Oh, Jesus, thank you for teaching us to abide, to remain and to experience intimate relationship with you. We can’t do a thing without you. You are the vine, we the branches. We don’t bear fruit or honor God if we don’t stay in close relationship with you through your Holy Scriptures. There is no place I’d rather be than resting between your powerful shoulders, engrossed in reading your words. I desire to know you more, and through that to increase the unspeakable and resilient joy only you give. Forgive my pity parties, Lord, and turn me back to your path to joy and fulfillment. I ask these things in your powerful and precious name, Lord, according to the good and perfect will of the Father. Amen.

“These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” (John 15: 11 ESV)
