Gracious Heavenly Father, I have a great deal for which to thank you, based on your goodness and faithfulness in just the past 3 weeks. Thank you for amazing weather during my sojourn to Germany and Israel. Thank you for your hand of protection even during a time of unrest in the area. Thank you for providing a way for me to see the Holy Land and experience your presence there. Thank you for growing my faith and strengthening my bond with you. Thank you for teaching me of the history of your people, and for showing me how it deeply entwines with that of other countries from the UK down to Egypt. Help me process all I’ve seen and experienced. Help me share it with others to your great glory. I ask these things in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, ‘I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless, that I may make my covenant between me and you, and may multiply you greatly.'” (Genesis 17:1-2 ESV)
