I get tired, Lord, you know how I just get worn out and physically exhausted. Seems to be more frequent the older I get, but tired is different than weary and down in my soul. I thank you for sustaining my joy, Lord. Don’t let me sink into the pit of pitiful soul distress, not today, Lord, not ever. There were days I was there and you pulled me from it. Don’t let me confuse the tiredness of body with the helpless and wanting condition of hopelessness. You provided a way where there seemed to be none. You are my strong tower and refuge. You are my source of rest and renewal. Prayer opens the door to our relationship and boosts my vitality in you. I praise you in the name and authority of Jesus, according to your good and perfect will. Amen.

“But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you.” (Psalm 5:11 ESV)
